We just got word that the 2007 Shared Summits K2 Expedition as hosted on NBCSports.com and shown on NBC TV has been nominated for an Emmy in the category "Outstanding NEW APPROACHES - LONG FORM"!
The 29th Sports Emmy Awards honoring American sports coverage in 2007 will be presented on April 28th, 2008 at the Frederick P. Rose Hall at Lincoln Center, New York City.
Obviously, we are very excited about this. If you missed the show or the webcast, the DVD is still available for purchase.

Chris Warner, expedition leader, will be presenting "K2: The Rest of the Story" at many local venues.
On July 20th 2007, the world followed along as the Shared
Summits team of Chris Warner, Bruce Normand
and Don Bowie united on the mountain with teams drawn from 8 other countries on
the most successful summit day in K2 history...and before it was done, two climbers
were dead, a Czech climber lay clinging to consciousness, and Don had fallen
150 feet. Please join Chris to hear in his own words,
"The Rest of the Story".

NBCTV Re-broadcast:
Just yesterday NBC-TV announced that it is re-broadcasting the K2 special. It will air on February 17, at 2:30 p.m. Eastern. Check your local listings. And remember that it may be listed as “Jeep World of Adventure Sports.”

 NBC will be re-airing the K2 show, as a stand alone hour of Jeep World of Adventure Sports on Sunday, February 17th, at 2:30pm EST. (please check your local listings, as the show airs under the Jeep World of Adventure Sports label and may air at different times in different markets).
