| Dispatch 08: High winds and cold temps |

After a night of high winds 50-70mphs, Chris and Marty managed to keep their tent from flying off the mountain. Only the protection of the crevasse they were tucked into kept the tent on the mountain. Today, they made a strong effort on the southeast ridge, a narrow path of blue ice, achieving a high point of 6800meters. While working their way across, Marty attempted to cross over a gap in the trail. The ice gave way, leaving Marty up to his elbows in crevasse. The only casualty was the ski pole; a rescue was performed and the pole unharmed.Namaste, -Ashley BC Manager
